Please complete this form if you are interested in enrolling a student in Kindergarten for the 2022 - 2023 school year. Completing this form will help us make necessary plans for the upcoming year.
Children who are 5 years old prior December 1, 2022 are eligible to enroll in a Kindergarten program. A Young 5s program is also available for students who are eligible.

It is hard to believe but it is time to begin preparing for the next school year! Our Kick-Off To Kindergarten Parent Meeting will be Tuesday, April 12 at 6:30. We will meet in the front Activities Room at the elementary and present some information to help you understand the process of enrolling a Kindergarten student. We look forward to seeing you there!
Dear Saranac Elementary Families,
March has officially arrived which means our school will put the focus on Reading! Every March we pick a theme that we plan multiple activities around, this year our theme is, “Books Bring Us Together!” The most important thing you can do to support your child is to help them read! It doesn’t matter what grade level your child is in, there is always something you can help them do.
Below are a few of the activities that we will have taking place in the school:
D.E.A.R. Time Through the month we will play the song, “Come Together” When that song plays, we Drop Everything And Read.
Dress Up Days All dress-up days will be on Wednesdays
March 2 - Good Night Moon, PJ DAY
March 9 - Fox in Socks, Crazy Sock Day
March 16 - Cat in the Hat Day, Hat Day
March 23 - Rainbow Fish Day, grade levels will dress as a color. Your child’s teacher will communicate regarding the color for his/her grade level
March 30 - Favorite Book Character, Dress as your favorite book character
Poster Parade March 25 Students will make a poster displaying their favorite book. We will supply the poster paper. Students will parade around the school on this day at 1:55. Parents are invited to watch the parade. If the weather is bad we will reschedule.
Culminating Activity March 30 We will have grade level assemblies where students will compete in Minute to Win it Games. Every time students earn AR points or complete a book (depending on grade level) they will have an entry entered to participate in the games. Students will be drawn at random to participate.

Today is the last day to sign yourself up for Parent-Teacher Conferences. After today our staff will assign you a time slot. This may mean that if you have more than one student in the building your conferences may not be at coordinated times.
Saranac Elementary School’s conferences will be on March 7th and 9th. Conference sign-ups will be online through the My Conference Time Planning app. Please follow the steps below to sign up for your preferred conference date and time. Time slots fill quickly, so please sign up at your earliest convenience but no later than February 28th.
Conferences will be in-person this Spring. If you need a virtual conference, please contact your child’s teacher.

Select your preferred date and time.
Enter the required information. (E-mail address is not required, but if you enter one, you will receive an email confirmation.)
Under the optional information, indicate whether you will attend in-person or virtual through a Google Meet link.
Click “Sign Up for Your Conference” near the bottom of the screen.
You’re done! That’s all there is to it.
Each student is only allowed one conference time per teacher.
Be sure to sign up for a conference with your child’s special education teacher, and/or Music, P.E., Art, and Technology teacher.
If you do not have access to the internet, or you are unable to use the site to schedule your conference(s), please call the office at 642-1200. Either of our secretaries will be able to schedule the conference(s) for you.

7/8th Grade Girls BBall games @ PW have been moved to Monday, 2/21.

Clarification: All of today's games are cancelled, including the varsity and JV girls BBall games. All sub-varsity practices are also cancelled. Varsity coaches only will be in contact with their atheltes regarding optional practices.
