On February 24, all students who participate in PE will be starting a roller skating unit. There will be mats all over the gym floor for safety reasons. Roller skating is a lifelong activity that promotes mental and physical health. I am excited to teach this awesome and fun unit! This will not be their only activity during their time in PE. However, there will be a portion of time dedicated to the skills associated with this great lifetime activity.
Parents that want their student to wear a helmet or any other safety equipment, please feel free to send that in their backpack and or have them keep it in their locker for the duration of the unit. If your student has their own rollerblades or roller skates, they are welcome to use them in the gym.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks and be well!
