Summer Office Hours
We understand that the change to open house is frustrating, especially with the start of a new school year and ongoing construction.

The construction inspection is scheduled for 2 weeks. Once we pass inspection and address any corrections that arise, our new classroom furniture will be delivered and assembled. The furniture delivery is scheduled for the week of Aug 24th. Then, our goal is to give teachers the time they need to prepare safe, welcoming classrooms for students.

Please rest assured that additional staff will help students throughout the first week of school find their classrooms and navigate the building safely.

We appreciate your patience and support as we work through this transition.

Due to ongoing construction, our elementary open house will be scheduled after the first day of school. This change will give our teachers the time they need to finalize their classroom preparations.

First Day of School: Monday, August 31st, 7:45 AM – 11:00 AM.

Kindergarten Opening Day: Monday, August 31st. Parents may accompany their child into the classroom from 8:00 AM to 8:25 AM before students finish the rest of the school day.

Elementary Open House: Wednesday, September 2nd, 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Families can tour summer construction progress and bring shared classroom supplies like Kleenex and Clorox wipes.

We are excited to have families visit the school and check out all of the construction progress that has taken place throughout the summer. The building will remain under construction throughout the upcoming school year, with completion next July.

The JSH is once again offering the opportunity for parents, businesses , and community members to sponsor a grade level and be listed on the RedHawk T-Shirts provided to every staff member and student on the first day of school.

The JSH provides T-shirts to every student and staff member to create unity and ensure every kid has at least one new piece of spirit wear each year. Generous grant amounts have been awarded and will cover some of the cost, but local sponsorships help us cover the full cost and set aside other fundraiser monies to cover the cost of activities and awards throughout the year.

If you are interested in sponsoring a grade level and having your name, your family's name, or your business's name on the back of the shirts at the cost of $100, please reach out to Josh Leader at jleader@saranacschools.org. Thank you for your support! Go RedHawks!
