For three years, Susann Young has coordinated an effort at the JSH to collect plastic caps for recycling. The efforts have resulted in thousands of pounds of caps gathered, which has resulted in the creation of numerous benches and picnic tables. These tables and benches can be found in and around the building.
Carter Wells (pictured) has been personally responsible for hundreds of pounds of the caps collected. As a result, Carter has been able to designate the engraving plans for a number of the benches. Recently, Carter honored Mr. Leader with a beautiful red and black bench engraved with the principal's name. The bench is placed under the new canopy at the maain entrance to the JSH.
